Our story
Started from 2002, we joined the European team, succeeded in PerfectDRAFT project by cooperating with the Cambridge team and InBev team, one of the team on first innovative beer keg project other than stainless steel kegs.
As one of the leading innovators on bag in keg solution, and plastic spear for beer kegs, we designed and developed the first PET one-way plastic keg for beer packaging, but gave up this solution based on our expertise and experience on PET material, for the safety of plastic kegs for carbonated drinks.
An one-way polyethylene blow molded keg was developed, by cooperating with our Belgian partners; with enough elongation from the polyethylene resin, to eliminate the keg explosion issue from the PET one-way plastic keg, to ensure the safety of one-way plastic kegs for carbonated drinks, the first safe plastic keg for carbonated drinks;
The first generation of beer bag developed with Cambridge team together was with aluminum barrier layer; to solve the technical difficulty of barrier performance for plastic kegs to both O2 and CO2, with years research by cooperating with international partners who are global leaders in their industries, on material science, molecular kinematics, etc., we developed the 2nd and 3rd generation beer bags for beverages like draft beer, cider, etc., with unique technology on organics and inorganics combined barrier material, multi barrier, double bag concept, etc., to extend the shelf life for filled beverages, especially the draft beer, to up to 12 months.
the taste preservation plastic bag and plastic keg for beverages, especially for draft beer, is another technical difficulty, with years R&D again, we developed and first time implemented the unique taste preservation technology for the plastic bags in plastic kegs.
To optimize the plastic kegs further on safety, cost-effective, and sustainability, with years R&D, we developed a whole series reusable plastic kegs, the first time to implement double bag concept, double keg concept, glass fiber reinforcement technology, etc. into the plastic keg solution for beverages, especially for draft beer; further optimization was to upgrade all one-way plastic kegs to economical version reusable plastic kegs, combined glass fiber reinforcement technology, multi barrier technology, quality, safety, cost-effective and sustainability, etc.

2008 R&D of 5L polyethylene mini plastic keg, combination of safe plastic keg technology, bag in keg technology, CO2 cartridge for beer dispensing pressure media, fast cooling technology; one of the first portable mini plastic keg project. |
2011 establishing of Belgian Cardiff Group N.V. R&D of polyethelene safe one-way plastic kegs, combination R&D of safe plastic keg technology for carbonated beverages, one-piece molding technology of plastic keg body and top & bottom rings, double bag in keg technology, plastic spears. |
2012 R&D of barrier material technology for laminated inner bags, the first team to develop and implement organics & inorganics combined barrier material for the inner bags, for draft beer and other beverages; succeeded in 2nd generation of inner bags other than the aluminum bags for draft beer and other beverages. |
2013 R&D of taste preservation technology for laminated inner bags, for beverages especially for draft beer; the first one and only one succeeded in taste preservation solution for plastic bags and plastic kegs for draft beer and other beverages. |
2014 R&D of reusable plastic kegs, combination of double keg concept, glass fiber reinforcement technology, etc. into plastic kegs; the first team to succeeded in series of reusable plastic kegs for draft beer and other beverages. |
2017 Establishing of Gpro Technology Limited. R&D of new series reusable and one-way safe plastic kegs other than the reusable plastic kegs of EcoDRAFT for Cardiff group N.V, with optimization on functionality, quality, cost-effective, etc. R&D of A type, G type, D type plastic spear with inner bag system. |
2018 R&D of multi barrier technology for inner bags, to combine double bag concept, the first one and the only one to implement the unique multi barrier technology & taste preservation technology on the inner bags for draft beer and other beverages, to extend the shelf life to up to 12 months. R&D of portable mini plastic kegs, with portable dispensing system; the first one to develop the portable 5L & 3L mini plastic kegs in this industry. |
2019 upgraded the portable dispensing system of portable mini plastic kegs to hand pump and electrical pump combined dispensing system. |
2024 upgrading the one-way safe polyethylene plastic kegs to reusable kegs too, an economical version of reusable plastic kegs, with single keg and single bag system, to balance the performance and the cost, other than the high end of reusable plastic kegs; complete series of Gprokeg/Ecorekeg plastic kegs, Pro series for high-end reusable plastic kegs, Eco series for economical reusable plastic kegs, Mini series for portable plastic kegs; all combined the unique multi barrier technology, taste preservation technology, safety technology, etc., the optimal keg soluitons with functionality, quality, safety, cost-effective, and sustainability together, for all premium beverages. |
